With the recession that started in December 2007, many people have been forced to make the decision to open up their own business. Many people have been left wondering just how they will put food on the table and how they will pay their mortgage. Opening their own business seems to be the answer that they are looking for.
Studies have shown that nearly one in ten unemployed individuals are starting their own business. People are opting to take in sewing, start a daycare for children, or open up a small restaurant to try to make ends meet. While many people admit that they would not have opted to open their own business if circumstances were not so dire, some people are taking the recession and making it work for them. For many, opening up their own business had always been a dream, a dream that they were to scared to make a reality. However, necessity has forced that dream into a reality.
For many, there is no other choice but to succeed and the experts seem to have two opinions on the subject. For the most part, history has shown that many small businesses will not survive their first five years of business and that rate is even higher when met with a bad economy. Still, experts say that the only way out of the recession is if small businesses begin to prosper and put money back into the economy. Whether it is the way out of the recession or not, it seems promising that people are starting to attempt to get out of the recession.
